Baruch 6:56

Neither are these gods of wood, and of stone, and laid over with gold, and with silver, able to deliver themselves from thieves or robbers: they that are stronger than them
How then can it be admitted or thought that they are gods? They are safe from neither thieves nor bandits, these wooden and silvered and gilded gods.
How, then, can anyone assert or still believe that they are gods? These idols of wood overlaid with gold and silver are not able to prevent being plundered by thieves and bandits.
Besides, they can offer no resistance to king or enemy. Why then must anyone admit or think that they are gods?
Besides, they can offer no resistance to king or enemy. Why then must anyone admit or think that they are gods?
Besides, they can offer no resistance to a king or any enemies. Why then must any one admit or think that they are gods?
